On May 19th and May 30th, 2012 we held two events in our shop, Urban Pheasant Glassworks Studio. We invited the public to exchange $10 for 15 minutes of one-on-one time on the torch where they created pebbles for our tank installation at The Belle Isle Aquarium. Everyone loved the experience but it was truly our pleasure to share our craft in such a personal way.

During the weekend of June 15th - 17th in Detroit hundreds of artists from around the country came together to support the project and work on artistic collaborations to benefit The Belle Isle Aquarium. We pulled out all the stops with four different after-parties spread throughout our fine city including a showing of Degenerate Art: The Art and Culture of Glass Pipes by M.Slinger

The generosity was flowing at our 2012 event. All of these pieces were either donated or created at the main event. These pieces have been auctioned and sold to raise money for our charity.

On September 24th we attended Glassroots Art Show in Madison, Wisconsin for our first trade show as The Michigan Glass Project. A huge thank you to Glassroots for their continued support and a wonderful show year after year.
